Young Girl's Act of Kindness Helps Man in Need
How this 10-year-old went above and beyond for a man she didn't even know.
10-year old Sophia Grace Carroll was shopping at a Wawa convenience store in Springfield Township, PA, when she spotted a man asking for spare change.
Concerned that the man didn't have enough money to buy supplies for himself, Sophia had a bright idea. She put together a goodie bag for him, complete with food, water, and some hygiene products, like a toothbrush and mouthwash.

"My mom gave him some money when she came out and then we went home and I gathered some supplies and he was crossing right here," Sophia told Fox 29 Philadelphia. "He said was going to the bathroom and that's when I gave it to him."
Sophia's act of kindness has already inspired others. "The world needs more Sophias!!" wrote one Facebook user on a Delaware County Community Facebook page. Another user responded with a message that should resonate with all of us: "💕 💕 It's amazing how far a little compassion and empathy go. Sophia, you are a role model for other kids....and even for adults!!!!"

While we hope that Sophia's on-the-spot act of kindness inspires others, she's just concerned about the difference she made in that one man's life. "I hope that he learns that like he mattered if he already didn't know that and people can always be selfless and kind," said Sophia
