Why you want to help single parents in college, trade school or apprenticeship?

After being a single parent who had to drop out of college, became homeless, and had to give my child to his father, I would like to share the purpose of my pain by faith.

After having to drop out of college because I was pregnant and my major was dance my life was turned upside down. Then having my baby working two jobs and then one job went out of business and the other cut my hours more than half I went back to school. Shortly there after I became homeless and had to give my child to the father.

A friend told me about a program that housed single moms in college called the Dorothy Day apartments and after some time I was able to move in and get my child back. I graduated college and became a teacher there and moved into a developing neighborhood.

Several years later life with another child, divorce and a host of debilitating trials I created an educational app callled MyStudent which is only on Apple products at this time, wrote a book callled IF YOU WOULD JUST SEE ME! With a journal called Monthly Journey IF YOU WOULD JUST SEE ME! sold on Amazon and started a business called The Stepping Stone Pathways (TSSP).

TSSP is a tax deductible nonprofit organization that provides single moms and dads in any higher learning institutes with a wraparound support system to meet them at their needs. Right now we could use financial support with transportation because we are in negotiations with a car service to assist the parents in getting to daycare and school who dont live near public transportation.

For those who would like to donate go to GoFundMe -Support Single Parents Education, PayPal .Me/TSSPathways or Cash App -$TSSPathways.

Quick facts: single parents have the highest dropout rate, it takes them 3x longer to graduate and they have a 47.1% higher rate of graduating with supportive services that TSSP provide.
