UPDATE: Yappily Ever After Indeed! Dog Nuptials a Success

See the wedding album & find out how much was raised for homeless pets.

A couple of weeks ago, we told you about an unusual romance, and a friendship -- that bloomed into a great idea to create community and help homeless pets.

Friday, Zelda Fitzgerald and Cooper Dillingham Wilson got married!

The yappily married couple, Zelda and Cooper.

By now you've probably figured out that the happy couple are dogs. Zelda is a 2 year old Morkie and Cooper is a 2 year old Yorkie.

We posted about how their pet parents had become friends walking the dogs at the Ascent 430 apartment complex outside of Pittsburgh, and came up with the idea of the dogs becoming "pawfully wedded" to benefit a local animal shelter:

#Yappily Ever After: Dog "Wedding" To Help Homeless Pets

Zelda's owner Linda Mulzet promised pictures and here they are! The photos in this story were taken by her and event sponsors, Bradford Hills Veterinary Hospital and posted on their Facebook page .

The ceremony took place at the complex's new dog park.

The property management company, Management at Village Green donated the tents, tables and chairs for the reception. Above L-R: Cooper's proud pet parents Dillon and Tyler, and Zelda's mom Linda.

Dozens of other Ascent 430 pets and their pet parents attended the ceremony and a reception held in the courtyard. The complex's trash service, Valet Living donated the food and drinks.

Bradford Hills Veterinary Hospital donated the cookie table.

In lieu of gifts, guests donated more than $500 that will go to support to Animal Friends, a no-kill shelter in Pittsburgh's North Hills .

Bridesmaids were pretty in pink and lace.
