Update: Karma for Man Who Won Washer/Dryer Set But Gave it to Co-worker
When people heard about his selfless act, they decided he needed his own new laundry set.
Last week Sparkt shared a story of a man named Jesse, a recovering addict and dishwasher at a Pittsburgh-based diner, who gave his coworker the washer and dryer set he won at a company picnic. "I want to give it to someone who needs it more," he said. In the days since the story broke many people have been inspired by his act of kindness and are going above and beyond to thank him.
A couple who wished not to be identified gifted him a brand new washer and dryer set. Others have reached out asking how they can continue to help.
Seana O'Connor, CEO of Kelly O's (the diner where Jesse works) told Sparkt that "we suggested groceries or a gift card to a grocery store, as he has a daughter and a girlfriend who packs his lunch every day. People can be so amazing."
