UPDATE: Anonymous Donor Steps Up for 9-11 Cancer Victim

He and his wife rushed to New York to help first responders when terrorists struck the World Trade Centers. Now he's hit with cancer while trying to restore his home.

A mystery man is stepping up to help this McKeesport couple put their home together. Nick and Margaret Ursta have been together since high school. They've been married for 24 years and both were EMT-firefighters. Now he's battling cancer while trying to re-build their house.

It hasn't been easy or quick, but the project is getting a huge helping hand from a man who wants to stay in the shadows. Marty Griffin first met them earlier this year and returned to their home to for an exciting update.

The Nicolella brothers tell us the entire roofing job will only take 2-3 days. They are hoping to get that work done first chance they get as long as the weather cooperates in December. By the way, this isn't the first job they've done on behalf of the secret donor.

"He's amazing. I would love to find him and hug him and say thank you." - Margaret Ursta

UPDATE: The roof is being completed today!

Their story doesn't stop at the end of this page. We will continue to follow the Ursta's progress and we'll continue connecting them with people who want to lend a hand, a hammer, or any kind of help.
