Two Youth Performing Groups Join for Rare Concert
Bid on KDKA-TV and Radio tours (hosted by Kristine & Marty!) at silent auction to benefit the youth chorus
It's rare to hear John Rutter's Mass of the Children performed in Pittsburgh. It's also rare that two of the city's top youth musical groups join forces to perform a major work.
That will happen this weekend when the Pittsburgh Youth Chorus will team up with Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestras to present Mass of the Children. The performance is Sunday, April 14 at 4:00 PM at Moon Area High School. The Grove City College Concert Choir and Touring Choir will also join them.
Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestras will join with Pittsburgh Youth Chorus to perform Rutter's "Mass of the Children"
Audience members are invited to come early and check out all the wonderful offerings at a Silent Auction with proceeds to benefit PYC's programs.
Among the items to bid on:
- A personally guided tour of the KDKA-radio studios by Sparkt founder and KDKA radio personality Marty Griffin
- A personally guided tour of the KDKA-TV studios by anchor Kristine Sorensen
In addition to meeting Marty and Kristine and touring the studios, the winning bidders will get to sit in on Marty's show and one of Kristine's newscasts! Both tour packages come with a gift certificate for lunch or dinner at a restaurant near the studios.
