Too Friendly With Your 'Fridge? You've Got To Hear This Woman's Song We Can All Relate To!

Gospel singer serenades herself and the rest of us in a virtual performance about snacking too much during quarantine!

I'm a singer. I appreciate people who sing better than I can (which is a lot of you)! And someone who is talented enough to create a whole self-sung chorus to accompany her amazing gospel voice in the lead, well, let's just say, I'm in awe.

Like most of us, KD French of Atlanta has struggled with eating just a little more than she'd like during the coronavirus pandemic. She put her "'fridge fight" to song in a video "The 'Fridge Again," a performance that's gone viral on YouTube, and deservedly so. Enjoy:

Making a "group" video like this isn't easy. It requires the ability to sing various parts -- in KD's case singing lead and backup, in harmony -- and to use software programs to combine it all into something that sounds and looks effortless.

The idea for the song came out of French's personal pandemic experience and grew from there. "I just started saying wait a minute I'm at the 'fridge again. And then the words just started coming," she told WSB-TV. "I said I'm gonna go sing that right quick."

KD French already had a following for her gospel messages and videos on Facebook. Now, thanks to network coverage, she has national exposure.KD French/Facebook

It took a bit more than just French's music and lyrics to make this message so memorable. I definitely appreciated her facial "choreography," especially when she rolled her eyes and pointed fingers at herself!

French told WSB she just wants to make people laugh and not let the tough times get them down. She said she's just busy doing God's work, as you will see when you check out all of the other amazing gospel videos on her Facebook page. "I say 'Go God. Whatever you got. Whatever you want from me. I'm willing to do it.'
