To All My Fellow C-Section Mamas

I used to look back on my baby's birth as a failure; now I know it's anything but.

According to a recent report in The Lancet, C-section rates for mothers worldwide are rising rapidly.

For many mothers, delivering by C-section--especially emergency C-sections for which they are emotionally unprepared--can feel like a failure.

This is my story about why I started to feel like my c-section was one of the most strengthening moments of my experience as a mother.

Note: Many of you may remember me from my days as the morning anchor on KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh. Even if you don't know me, I hope we'll be able to connect here on Sparkt, where I'll be sharing my experiences (notice I didn't say "expertise!") as a mom, and any other things I'm thinking about.
