This World is Crazy. Here's How to Keep Your Kids Safer in It

It's no secret our world has seen its fair share of tragic news lately. In today's video I give you 3 tips from a security expert in keeping our kids safe in this sometimes-scary world.

As you know, we live in a world where the bad news keeps coming. It's hard for adults to deal with, let alone kids.

I know from personal experience that even though younger kids don't fully grasp the facts of what's going on, they definitely can tell when we adults are more wound up or anxious about our environment.

Around here, I've been feeling a little more wound up lately, given all the horrible things that have been on the news. But I always like to take that negative energy and try to find something positive out of it.

That's why I reached out to a security expert to get some tips on the best way to talk to our kids when bad things happen, and here's what he had to say.

Dave Benson is a security expert who has worked at high levels--like with the Department of State, and with foreign and domestic leaders--as well as on the private level, with big companies like Disney.

His tips for keeping our kids safe, and talking to our kids about safety, are invaluable.

Check out my video below for Dave's three simple tips--great for both families and individuals.
