Tebow Foundation Opens 10th Hospital Playroom
The former NFL star is helping kids be kids during hospital stays
For kids, the hospital can be a scary place. That's why The Tim Tebow Foundation has opened its 10th "Timmy's Playroom" at AdventHealth, a children's hospital in Daytona Beach, FL.

With features like flat-screen televisions, interactive games and digital air hockey, the AdventHealth playroom is the most high-tech one yet. A football field is painted on the floor and sports memorabilia hangs on the walls, including a Tebow jersey, of course.

The playrooms offer children a chance to forget their health issues for a bit and just be kids.
"Hopefully it can bring a brighter day for so many in their darkest hour of need," Tebow said in a video posted by AdventHealth. "That is our goal, to encourage and uplift people, especially when they're going through such a tough time..."
There are currently Timmy's Playrooms in hospitals in Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas and the Philippines. Steve Biondo, president of the Tim Tebow Foundation, says the playrooms are places where "precious children going through medical challenges can be loved on physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially."
Tebow's faith is featured prominently in all of the rooms, with his favorite Bible verse printed on the walls. "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)
