Strangers Save Three-Year-Old's Birthday Party When No One Shows Up

When her mother posted to social media that not one person showed up for the party, the community sprang into action.

When Cindy Travis was planning her daughter Paisley's birthday party she booked a bouncy house, ordered a cake and made sure she had enough decorations to deck out the pavilion she rented at John Chestnut Park in Palm Harbor, FL. What she didn't plan was for nobody to show up on the day of the party.

Unfortunately, that's what happened last Sunday when the Travis family held Paisley's third birthday party at the park. Paisley's mother, Cindy, was heartbroken as her daughter played by herself and kept looking around, anxious for her friends to arrive.

"She was bouncing in [the bouncy house] by herself, so you didn't want her to stand there and bounce by herself all day," Cindy told WFLA8-TV.

Cindy took to social media and posted in a Trinity Facebook group:

Shortly after Cindy made the post, she started getting responses, and people started arriving to the party. Soon, the pavilion was filled with guests, all who had never met the Travis family before. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Department showed up with gifts for Paisley, and they even let her sit in one of the squad cars.

"Every time there was more kids coming, she was excited and she said, 'Look Mom, more kids!'" Cindy said. "So she might be a little quiet, but she's definitely enjoying herself and thankful."

Video footage taken by one of the guests shows a grinning Paisley as her new friends sang her "Happy Birthday" and cheered as she blew out the candles on her cake.

If Paisley was hoping for a birthday party her family would never forget, she certainly got her wish.
