When you think about hemp clothing, your mind might go right to tie-dye hoodies and long, woven skirts. But that’s not the case at all.

Young entrepreneur Sam Graeb (with the help of his supportive mother and grandmother) uses sustainable hemp to create style for his company planetHEMP. And it’s making us rethink our entire wardrobes.

Wondering exactly what hemp is? A few key notes: It’s not marijuana. It’s not illegal. And it’s definitely not just a trend.

Made from cannabis sativa fibers, hemp has been used to make clothing for thousands of years. Graeb explains that hemp, compared to cotton, uses less water and pesticides, is stronger, and need less room to grow.

Designing sustainable, durable, and breathable activewear and athleisure, planetHEMP is helping our world become a little greener (and more fashionable).
