Stop Worrying About What Other Moms Do (and Stay Sane!)

Parenting is hard enough, but the comparison game makes it worse. These are my tips for keeping your sanity and ignoring the noise.

Being a mom is hard enough. What makes it harder? Comparing yourself to other moms and the way they're doing it.

Here are three simple things I always remind myself of that help keep me sane when everything around me felt a little crazy:

Just remember, most moms are struggling with this new job -- motherhood -- just like you are. And just because you see something on social media that makes it seem otherwise, I promise that's not the case.

People get through hard times in different ways, and just because your way is different from hers, that doesn't mean it's a walk in the park for her.

So, stay sane while doing this craziest--and best (at least I think!)--job in the world, motherhood.
