Spreading Joy With Homemade Goodies And Lots Of Love
The adventure started with a box full of goody bags for random strangers. Will our walk inspire you to do something? Watch the video and let us know how you're making a difference.
This past week, Kelly Arbogast from the Sparkt team had an idea to put together some goody bags that we could share and hopefully create some smiles and good cheer to go with the holiday season. Kelly went to work in her kitchen making homemade fudge and our colleague, Anne Linaberger, put her baking skills to task on several batches of cookies.
In the picture above, Kelly, Kami, Ange, and Amanda from the Sparkt team gathered for some creative wrapping and other treats to assemble our goody bags. On Friday, it was time to gather in Pittsburgh's Market Square and head out walking to spread the love.
We came across all kinds of amazing and grateful people along the way. From public works employees, to police officers, to people who don't have a home or family to visit for the holidays. Each and every one thanked us with a smile or a holiday greeting.
As Hanukkah begins for our Jewish friends, and Christmas arrives for Christians everywhere we just want to say thank you to everyone who enjoys our stories and the people who have joined our mission to "Start something good" at every opportunity.
