Son Honors Slain Father With Tattoo Tribute
Sgt. Terrence Carraway was shot and killed in the line of duty in October.
A South Carolina man is honoring his father with a permanent tribute, after Police Sgt. Terrance Carraway was killed in the line of duty last fall.
Rashad Carraway posted pictures of his tattoo on Facebook, saying "Love you dad, this is for you!!! Terrence Carraway #272 #Carrawaystrong."
According to WMBF News , Sgt. Carraway, of the Florence, SC Police Department, was one of seven officers shot in the line of duty while attempting to serve a search warrant on October 3, 2018. He died at the scene. Weeks later Florence County Sheriff's Deputy Farrah Turner succumbed to her injuries.
74-year-old Fred Hopkins is charged in the shooting. Officers were reportedly attempting to serve a warrant related to an investigation of Hopkins' son, who is now charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
