The Salvation Army of Western Pennsylvania understands the importance of making children feel special during the holiday season. On day 4, we wanted to let you know about their " Treasures for Children," which makes sure kids have presents at Christmas even if if their families can't afford them.
The children are identified through Salvation Army worship and service centers and referrals from other community organizations. The program has been around since 2001 and relies on volunteers to help sort and distribute the toys. Sign up to volunteer online or contact Treasures for Children Coordinator, Leah Cross at (412) 446-1534 to donate toys. You're sure to feel good when you think of the smiles on these kids' faces!
