Ring the Vote Party TONIGHT at PNC Park
Pirates hosting event to Vote for Josh Bell, and to take place in on-field activities and entertainment.
The Pittsburgh Pirates are in the middle of a series in Houston right now, but PNC Park will be open to all fans tonight!
The Pirates are hosting a All Star Vote Party, in an effort to get first baseman Josh Bell named a starter for the All Star Game. Bell was one of the top three vote-getters at his position, along with Atlanta Braves, Freddie Freeman and the Chicago Cubs, Anthony Rizzo. Voting is open from noon today until 4:00 p.m. tomorrow. The results will be announced tomorrow night on ESPN at 7:00 p.m.
Tonight's festivities at the ballpark start at 5:00. Fans will be welcomed onto the field, where they can cast their ballot for Bell at a voting station, as well as run the bases and take pictures on the field and in the dugout. There will also be live music and entertainment, and you'll be able to watch on the scoreboard as the Buccos take on the Astros at 8:10 p.m.
Fans can enter PNC Park through the Riverwalk gates at the Bill Mazeroski statue and the Roberto Clemente statue.
Bell has had a great start to the 2019 season, hitting 20 home runs so far. He also leads the Majors in doubles (28) and RBIs (66). The All Star Game is on July 9, at Progressive Field in Cleveland, OH.
