Rebellious Fashion

Anika was a pre-med student and playing college soccer, but she left that path to pursue vibrant, rebellious art. Since then, Anika has founded OOH BABY!, the high-spirited fashion line you can't miss

"College isn't for everyone," Anika, the founder of OOH BABY! says with a big smile. We're browsing through her eye-catching collection of colorful and eco-friendly fashion designs as we talk about life and art, and I have my eye on a pair of vintage Tommy Hilfiger jeans with big orange eyes spray painted on the front.

Anika was a soccer player and pre-med student who dropped out of her traditional college program to pursue her dream of becoming an artist. She found her voice creating rebellious, vibrant, and upcycled fashion, and recently began showcasing her styles Saturdays and Sundays in the Strip District.

"A lot of my materials are thrifted or given to me," Anika gushes. Her patchwork and painting is chaotic yet surgical, harkening to her disciplined past as a college athlete studying to be a doctor.

She's recently been scouted to be a featured designer in the upcoming Earth Day Fashion Show at the Fairmont on April 18th. There, you can check out OOHBABY' s looks and explore other designers who are dedicated to green fashion.
