Promoting Kindness on First Day of School
He could have picked any superhero or sports team but instead chose this
I will be your friend.
For 6-year-old Blake Rajahn, this was the message he wanted to send to his peers on his first day of school. He even went so far as to have the words printed on a custom T-shirt.
Blake's mother, Nikki Rajahn, owns a personalization business and told him she would make him any kind of shirt he wanted for the first day of school. With a dizzying array of sports teams, movie characters and action stars to choose from, Blake instead decided to embellish his shirt with a message of kindness and acceptance.
Blake's mother, Nikki Rajahn, congratulated her son's choice for his custom shirt in an Instagram post and used the hashtag, #stopbullying.

According to Nikki, Blake has experienced bullying before, and he hoped that his shirt would let the kids in his class know he's there for them. After her post went viral, others have ordered similar shirts for their kids. Nikki told WCNC that It's Blake's hope that "more and more people find friends" on their first days of school because of the shirts.
