Police Create a Special Birthday for 4-Year Old Boy
Little did his mom know when she asked for a policeman to come, 4 would show up!
When Shauna Cucunato posted a message on social media inviting a police officer to her 4 year old son's birthday party, she had no idea she'd not only get one, but four officers from departments around the family's home in Ellwood City, PA to come to the party!
Her son Miles loves police officers. He wears a SWAT costume a couple of days a week, and likes to "arrest" family members. Shauna tells the Beaver County Times that she thought it would be a cute idea to invite a police officer to Miles' 4th birthday party, and posted the request on social media. The request ended up being tagged and passed around, and to everyone's surprise, four officers from three local departments showed up!
"It is a nice feeling that the community got together to spread this around," Shauna Cucunato
The officers from Ellwood City and Franklin and North Sewickley townships came with their police cars and spent about 20 minutes at the party, letting Miles check out their vehicles and even push some buttons. Ellwood City posted a photo on their Facebook page, and were inundated with praise for their actions.
Cucunato told the Times she knows being a police officer can be a dangerous job, but she said she would not stand in Miles' way if he decided to become an officer when he grows up. "All I want for my children is for them to grow up and do what they want in life," Cucunato said.
