Pittsburgh's Own Mardi Gras
The carnival season is here in Pittsburgh, so get ready to eat, drink, and party your way through the North Side to celebrate Mardi Gras.
Pittsburgh foodies don't usually get an opportunity to indulge in crawfish, gumbo, or jambalaya, but for the next two weeks you can feast on New Orleans' staples while exploring the shops, restaurants, and bars in the North Side for the 5th annual North Side Mardi Gras Celebration.
Sparkt couldn't wait to talk to the organization behind the carnival, so Kelly grabbed a coffee at Adda Coffee + Tea in the North Side with Jesse from The Northside Leadership Conference to ask where we could find the best eats.
We didn't have time to talk about all of the venues involved, but you can expect tons of jazz music, parades, the crowning of the North Side King, and did we mention food? For a full list, check out their website .
Organized by The Pittsburgh NorthSide Leadership conference and sponsored by WesBanco, Rivers Casino, and the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, this year's Mardi Gras is going to be the best yet. Let us know what you love most about the Northside Mardi Gras on Sparkt.com .
