This is probably not something most Pittsburghers need to be told, but their city is a great place to live.
This is probably not something most Pittsburghers need to be told, but our city is a great place to live. Pittsburgh claimed the number 8 spot in Livability.com's 2019 list of the top places to live in the country.
The list ranked 1,000 U.S. cities with populations ranging from 20,000 to 100,000. More than 1,000 millennials were surveyed to determine what matters most to them when making a decision of where to live. The most popular responses were affordability and job opportunities. Their answers were factored into this year's ranking criteria, which included a cap on housing costs for the first time.
"Pittsburgh has a certain beauty and grittiness that, in my opinion, doesn't exist elsewhere." Katie Gilronan, PR and Media Manager at FlexJobs
Gilronan told Livability.com that she enjoys the people and diverse cultural scene in Pittsburgh. "The city is accessible, the people are friendly, the restaurant scene is second to none, and there's always something fun to do!"
