Pittsburgh Attorney Gives Local Church $4,000 Surprise Donation
When we showed up at a McKees Rocks church with Julian Gray, the pastor had no idea he was about to get a surprise donation. Watch as we make the big reveal on Sparkt LIVE.
Julian Gray just hit a big birthday, the big 5-0. To celebrate, the Pittsburgh attorney decided to throw a party, like many people do, but he had an idea. Instead of people bringing gifts of things he doesn't need, or bottles of booze he'll never drink, why not do something different? Instead, he asked people to open their wallets or checkbooks to make a donation for a special cause.
Julian Gray meets Rev. James Hogan for the first time at Faithbridge Community Church in McKees Rocks, PA.
After talking to me, Julian chose Faithbridge Community Church in McKees Rocks. Today I introduced him to the pastor, Rev. James Hogan, and we showed up with a big surprise. Here's how it all went down:
The community around Faithbridge Community Church is not a wealthy one. Hogan says it's meager means coupled with great need from a community that struggles with issues of drugs, crime, and violence brings lots of challenges. Julian Gray's $4,000 donation will go a long way to help the church and the community.
