Pittburgh Earth Day Promises a Weekend Packed With Events
Food, Fashion, Music and more all part of the celebration of the planet.
Earth Day is officially next Monday, April 22, but Pittsburgh Earth Day is getting the celebration of the planet and sustainability started a little early.
The three day Pittsburgh Earth Day celebration starts Thursday, with a packed schedule of events .

On Thursday night, you can attend the Ecolution Fashion Show at the Fairmont Hotel. Its a unique event where more than 20 local designers will show off their work, which all feature recycled and reused materials. A panel of judges will determine the top designers and award prizes. The event kicks off with a V.I.P hors d'oeuvres hour starting at 6:00 p.m., you can click here to purchase tickets .
The fashion show will be followed by an after party at Fl.2 starting at 8:30 p.m.
On Friday and Saturday, you can "Paint the Square Green in Market Square." From 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day, check out dozens of local vendors specializing in Earth-friendly products and services, along with organic and educational vendors.

And of course, no festival would be complete without the food. On both Friday and Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., swing by Smithfield Street for the Pittsburgh Food Truck Festival. Participating food truck vendors include BRGR, Evil Swine BBQ, Oh My Grill, PGH Halal Food, Sugar and Spice, Burgh Bites, Bulldawgs, Cool Beans, Fry Master Truck, Halal Food Truck, Hoshi & Hoshi Too, Terrene and The Wok of Life. They'll be parked right across from the Oliver Building.
