Photographer Takes Amazing Photos Using Only His Phone

We all *know* that the cameras in our phones are amazing, but are you really using it to its full potential? Chances are, you're not. So before you spend your rent on a DSLR, listen to key tips.

You deserve amazing pictures, but you shouldn't have to spend a full paycheck on a DSLR. We all know that our phones have some of the best cameras in the world, but are you really using it to its full potential?

Chances are, you're not. There are tricks and effects known only to the most dedicated mobile photographers, like Pittsburgh-based Kyle Majerick who, two years ago, was looking for a new hobby.

Majerick was inspired by a friend to start capturing Pittsburgh cityscapes, but he didn't want to spend a lot of money on a camera. "The best camera is the one you always have with you, and I always have my phone," Majerick says, so he got creative, exploring tutorials, testing mobile lenses, and exploring new angles of the city.

As an exclusively mobile photographer, Majerick admits he's gotten some strange looks from big-P Photographers in the community, but he's dedicated to the craft. "I think the most important thing is just getting out and seeing different places in the city of Pittsburgh. That's why I started this. I've gotten to see a lot of really cool things."

Check out the interview for tips on learning how to take the perfect picture on your phone, play around with the tutorials in the links below, and level-up your photo game. When you're done, share your pictures with us and tell us what you learned!
