Perfect Partnership! Toys For Tots and Good360 Get Toys Into The Hands Of Kids During Coronavirus
They're not waiting for Christmas! Find out how you can help them bring fun and learning to families in a challenging time.
When you hear Toys for Tots, you probably think Christmas, and the Marine Corps Reserve annual toy drive that distributes 18+ million toys each holiday to less fortunate children.
But with kids stuck at home and parents unemployed because of the coronavirus, Toys for Tots is mobilizing, and parnering with with the organization Good360 to provide help right now.
Toys for Tots has about 2 million toys, games and books to give away. Some are left over from last Christmas, but most have been donated for this specific purpose by leading toy makers and retailers like Hasbro, Lego, Disney, Five Below and Build-A-Bear.
Outside of the holiday season the Marines don't have a way to distrubte toys, but Good360 has a network of non-profits that can get the items into the hands of families that need them. What a great partnership!
National toy distributor, Group Sales, is involved in the toy distribution. Toys for Tots
"Good360 is proud to join forces with Toys for Tots to bring some joy and support to families with children," said Matt Connelly, CEO of Good360. "We are seeing a dramatic rise in demand for a wide variety of personal and household items, including toys. We are pleased to be able to leverage our vast nonprofit distribution network to provide a measure of relief to families weathering this crisis."
The organizations say toys, books and games offer a lot of benefits to children during this uncertain time, from combating boredom and relieving anxiety, to simply letting our kids feel normal -- and maybe even learn something!

Or you can call 211 from your phone to be connected with a support professional that can help you identify local non-profits in your community.
