North Hills Community Outreach is hosting a delicious fundraiser to help support your neighbors in a time of need

.

NHCO is holding a Loaded Baked Potato Bar at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Allison Park . The dinner is "pay what you are able" for admission, and includes your baked potato, drink and dessert. The Baked Potato Bar will feature Lenten friendly, vegan and vegetarian, and gluten-free options, so you'll be able to feed everybody in the family.

The fundraiser starts at 4:30 p.m. and runs until 7:00 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by the Bell School of Irish Dance.

North Hills Community Outreach is an interfaith organization, addressing the needs of people living in crisis, hardship and poverty. They organization looks to serve the community through financial donations and collections of various household and personal items.

NHCO is currently collecting donations of both personal care/grooming items as well as cleaning items. Both sets of items are not covered by SNAP benefits .

If you're a very low-income family who qualifies for SNAP (food stamps), you can't use that benefit to purchase soap, diapers, laundry detergent or bleach, said NHCO Communications Director Jen Kissel. "That has to come out of your own pocket and those expenses can add up when you're on an extremely fixed budget."

If you aren't able to donate material goods, you can always help support NHCO financially. You can click here to learn more or donate online . Additionally, NHCO accepts used vehicle donations. These donations directly support their transportation assistance program.

In the last fiscal year, NHCO was able to reach 3,486 local families.
