Mystery Mom Make Free Lunches ‘For Anyone Who Needs It’
While the lunch maker's identity is unknown, her kindness is being recognized all over the world.
With schools remaining closed all over the country, families who depend on free student lunch programs are struggling to keep their kids fed.
Thankfully, one mom is doing her part to make sure students in her community are taken care of. The 'mystery' mom has been leaving healthy, bagged lunches on a table set up under a pop-up tent on the side of a busy intersection in Saverna Park, MD.
There's a sign hanging from the table that reads, "For anyone who needs it … I will be leaving some healthy sack lunches on this table for you if you are hungry and need to eat. Made with love by a neighborhood mom in a clean and sanitized kitchen."
The table stays up every day from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm, and the brown bags contain sandwiches, fruit, and a snack.

Local parent Kimberly Gussow, whose work hours have been cut back since the pandemic started, picked up a couple of bags for her children last week.
"This makes me embrace my community even more. I'm proud to live here," Gussow told ABC News.
"It's great to show our kids that there is good in our world. It's not just about ourselves, it needs to be about others, too."
Others in the community have taken notice of the mystery mom's kind efforts. Delegate Nic Kipke shared a photo of the free lunch stand on his Facebook page with the caption, "Things like this really lifts my spirits! It's great to see so many in our community doing so much to care for others during this stressful time."
