Mother of 3 Needs a Kidney Donor... Could It Be You?

She has three kidneys and none of them are working. Geri Whalen has been waiting on a transplant for 3 years. Her sister Sondra is on a mission to find the perfect match.

It may sound cliche' to say that all of our Cake Walk's are special, but they truly are... and today is no exception. You're about to meet Geri Whalen. She's a mother of three who already had a kidney transplant in 2013.

Geri had a kidney donated by her sister in 2013 but her body rejected it within 2 years

Unfortunately her body rejected that gift from one sister. You're also about to meet her other sister, Sondra Hathaway who has made it her mission to help Geri find a new donor.

Sondra posted Geri's story on hoping to raise awareness about the need for donors and to hopefully find a kidney for her sister.

"She is always exhausted because the toxins build up so quickly between her dialysis times, yet she works 3 days a week as a server in a restaurant because her family has financial need."
- Sondra Hathaway
