Marty Rings the Celebration Bell

On Monday 10/29/18 Marty Griffin rang the "Celebration Bell" at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, marking the end of 7-weeks of treatment for HPV-related throat cancer.


Monday, October 29 was a day of celebration for radio and TV personality Marty Griffin, his wife, TV anchor Kristine Sorensen, and their family. Marty rang the "Celebration Bell" at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Oakland. All patients receiving chemotherapy are invited to ring the bell at the end of their treatment. The ceremonial bell-ringing marks the end of Marty's seven weeks of treatment for HPV related throat cancer. Watch the whole ceremony here:
