Marty Goes Live From TSA Rally, Offers a Little Spark of Help
Marty went to a rally at the airport to end the government shutdown, organized by the union that represents TSA workers. He talks to them, and spreads a little love along the way.
Sparkt's Marty Griffin was at Pittsburgh International airport today where dozens of representatives of Pittsburgh-area unions rallied in support of local Transportation Security Administration workers.
TSA employees are continuing to staff security checkpoints here and at airports across the country, even though they're not being paid while the federal government shut down continues. They are about to miss their second paycheck. "Our people are worried every day about when it will be over," said one union leader.

"This is why it's important for all labor to stick together." Phil Glover, American Federation of Government Employees
Marty headed straight to the airport checkpoints to visit TSA employees at work. Watch as he gives out a stack of Sparkt Kindness Cards (Get-Go gift cards, sponsored by Giant Eagle, Metropolitan Window, and the Bowser Dealerships) to union leader Bill Reese, to be distributed among the TSA workers. "They're dedicated and they're going to keep doing it as long as they have the money to get to work," he promised.

"We need to put an end to this and get our federal workers their paychecks." Bill Reese, local union president.
