Legislators to Answer Tough Questions at Education Forum

The forum is hosted by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit.

This week, you have the chance to learn more about what your elected representatives in Harrisburg are doing about education in Pennsylvania.

The Allegheny Intermediate Unit is hosting the Allegheny County Legislative Forum on Education . The event is your chance to ask legislators tough questions about the state of public education and hear firsthand how they hope to improve educational opportunities in Allegheny County.

The event begins at 7:00 p.m. Thursday night in Homestead, PA. It will be moderated by KDKA Money & Politics Editor Jon Delano. You can register online for the free event here.

The AIU is a branch of the Pennsylvania Department of Education, which provides "specialized services to Allegheny County's suburban school districts as well as non-public, charter and vocational-technical schools."

The AIU says its mission is to "maximize educational opportunities for all learners by responding to the needs of our community with leading-edge, high-quality, cost-effective programs and services."
