"Labor Day of Love" Project Will Transform Cancer Survivor's Home
Meet the men behind the project and the woman who's thrilled they're helping out.
Hey folks, this is one of those amazing stories of love, compassion, and giving and all the guys behind it want is for you to be inspired from by their example. Here's what they're doing.
Meeting up with Mike (Left) and Bill (Right) at the home they're about to give some love for a woman unable to do the work herself.
It's called "Labor Day of Love" and this is the 9th year friends Bill Thomas and Mike Williams have teamed up for a Labor Day project to lend a helping hand to someone someone who needs it. Monday morning, this home in Stowe Township, PA, will be a busy place, swarmed by more than two dozen volunteers.
They told me all about it and how they got started:
Mike and Bill tell us this is the first year they've turned to the site GoFundMe to raise money for their project.
They were able to raise more than their $1,000 goal and also credit the following list of sponsors for making the effort a success:
Pittsburgh Drain Guys
Aunt Lottie's Closet
Mackenzie Randall Photography
Mr John of Pittsburgh
DeMarco Waste and Dumpster Service
Stewart Avenue Lutheran Church
C & B Seamless Gutters
Readshaw Funeral Home
We'll follow up on Monday to show you how it all comes together! Special thanks to Mike and Bill for taking the initiative to "Start something good."
