It's Day 2, and If you're looking for an opportunity to have fun, be festive, and give back, we love The Arthritis Foundation's Jingle Bell Run.
We know fans of Sparkt are fans of helping others, especially during the holidays. So through the month of December, we're giving you our top picks for volunteer opportunities around the area.
It's Day 2, and If you're looking for an opportunity to have fun, be festive, and give back, we love The Arthritis Foundation's Jingle Bell Run .
The run is 5K or 1 mile, depending on how much spirit (and energy!) you have. It's family friendly and open to all ages and abilities -- you can even walk if you want. The run benefits the Arthritis Foundation's efforts to cure arthritis, America's number one cause of disability.
The Pittsburgh version of this Christmas themed run, which is also held the across the country, sees people dressed in their favorite Christmas sweaters run through the North Shore. Some runners and walkers even wear full elf or Santa outfits to fully get into the spirit. While the deadline to register for the Jingle Bell Run online is December 5th, you can also simply show up and register the day of the event. The cost is $40 online and jumps to $45 on race day.
