Hamilton Returning to Pittsburgh for 2020-21 Season

Exciting news for local theatergoers--the smash hit musical "Hamilton" will return to the Pittsburgh stage!
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announced "Hamilton" will be a part of the 2020-2021 Broadway season. The musical just completed a popular run at the Benedum Center from January 1-27. The Tribune-Review estimates that 88,000 people saw "Hamilton" during the four-week run .
The musical recounts the life of Alexander Hamilton, telling the story how an immigrant from the Caribbean rose to be a Revolutionary War hero, a Founding Father, and the nation's first Treasury Secretary.
The music, book and lyrics of Hamilton were written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who's been awarded the Pulitzer Prize and Kennedy Center Honors. The musical also won 11 Tony Awards.
The Cultural Trust hasn't announced dates for "Hamilton's" return or when tickets will go on sale, but you can make sure you'll be in the room when it happens. Season ticket-holders of the 2019-20 season who renew into the 2020-21 season will receive priority seating for "Hamilton."
