Give it Back Camp-More than Volleyball

With Volleyball Star Power as it's drawing card, Give it Back has charity at it's heart

The Give it Back Foundation brought Olympians, NCAA Champions, and a National Team coach and player to Pittsburgh for a weekend of volleyball instruction. What the campers got in return was more than just serving and passing, setting and hitting, digging and blocking. What they got was a lesson in charity, an illustration in mindfulness and presence, with a pinch of how to put a growth mindset into use both as an athlete and a person. Eighty-Eight athletes attended from around the region and one traveled from Orange County, California to be a part of this truly impressive camp.

Christa Deitzen, two time Olympic medalist, former Penn State All-American, and former Hopewell native organized Give it Back's effort this year at Moon High School. All proceeds of the camp went to help build a High School in Gulu, Uganda. To learn more about Give it Back and it's mission, visit
