Do You Need a New Family Photo?
What would you take from a burning building? After people and pets, most people say photos. Sadly, most people don't have time to rescue their photographic memories.
Most people, when asked what they wish they took as they fled their burning house, will tell you they wish they had their photographs. Photos are powerful memory triggers, and they are often lost in the midst of catastrophic chaos. People and pets first, of course, and then it's often too late for pictures.
After the horrific wine country fires in 2017, I joined a group of photographers and philanthropists in creating Phoenix Photo Project . We heard from many people that among the devastating destruction, the most heartbreaking loss was that of their family photo albums. So on a cool winter's day, a group of photographers, stylists, and a service dog set out to Sonoma County. The team helped dozens of people re-start their family albums with a fresh new photograph.
If you're starting over your family photo album, we invite you to join us at an upcoming Sparkt Photo Shoot.
