Dance Performance to Benefit Tree of Life Victims
SHARP Dance Co. performing Saturday at Hillman Center for Performing Arts.
A special charity dance performance this weekend will honor and benefit the families of the Tree of Life victims.
SHARP Dance Company , based in Philadelphia, will present "Spreading Love, Conquering Hate" Saturday at the Hillman Center for the Performing Arts at Shady Side Academy Senior High School Campus.
The modern dance company's performance will feature several different pieces, including "PUZZLE" and "669." The latter piece is inspired by the story of Sir Nicolas Winton, who saved 669 children from the Holocaust. SHARP Dance Co. says their mission is "to translate raw human emotion utilizing contemporary movement to connect the audience through individual interpretation."
Tickets for the 8:00 p.m. performance are available for $28.00. All proceeds will be donated to the Tree of Life victim's families.
This week, the Rosenthal family and ACHEVIA are encouraging Pittsburghers to #LoveLikeTheBoys , honoring Cecil and David Rosenthal, two brothers killed in the Tree of Life attack. The campaign and hashtag urge people to commit random acts of kindness in the Rosenthals' memory.
