Chicago Homeless Warmed by Good Samaritan's Kindness

Social networks are buzzing this morning about the kindhearted Samaritan that has paid for hotel rooms for 70 homeless folks in Chicago.

I'm having trouble staying warm walking from my car to the office, so I can't even imagine what it would be like to spend the night in a tent as the Polar Vortex bears down on the United States.

A story from Chicago, though, is heating up the internet this morning. After Chicago Fire Department removed the propane heaters from a homeless encampment for safety concerns (one of the tanks exploded; thankfully no one was hurt), a good Samaritan stepped in to pay for hotel rooms for 70 homeless folks who otherwise were at risk of freezing - quite literally - in the arctic air. The frosty view of Chicago's Lake Michigan gives you a taste of how cold it is:

Check out this story from Chicago's ABC 7 News. And this one from the UK's Daily Mail. Seems like this story is spreading warmth far and wide.
