Celebrating Pittsburgh Women with Lyft for Women's History Month

With a special event to empower local women, Lyft has kicked off a month of free rides to selected Pittsburgh locations in honor of Women's History Month.

As a company, Lyft's core values are: be who you are; uplift others; and make it happen. That's why the Lyft-Pittsburgh team works every day to do something good for its drivers, passengers and the community with the goal of making our city an even greater place to live and get around.

This year for International Women's Day (March 8), the women of Lyft Pittsburgh kicked off Women's History Month locally by hosting a "Ladies of Lyft" Happy Hour and Workshop in honor of female Lyft drivers, passengers, and friends. Local women-owned businesses and women-focused organizations were the stars of the evening (check out the links below!).

Attendees had the opportunity to meet, mingle and learn from some amazing woman-focused nonprofit resources in our city, and discuss relevant issues in the female Pittsburgh community. They also took advantage of women-owned professional services such as resume coaching, headshots, and life coaching. The Farmer's Daughter Flowers was the venue, with catering by Everyday's a Sundae .

Some incredibly inspirational women from these nonprofit organizations had the chance to share more about what they do, and explain how other women can help:
