Book Bag Giveaway Gets School Supplies to Kids

Kyleigh Williams cares about the community in which she grew up. She holds an annual book bag giveaway for kids who might otherwise not have the necessary school supplies.

As a 2011 graduate of Aliquippa High School, Kyleigh Williams truly cares about the community where she grew up. She wanted to make sure neighborhood children get a good education like she did. So in 2016, she started an annual book bag giveaway for kids who might otherwise not have the school supplies they need.

This year's turnout was the best yet. Kyleigh was able to give away 165 bags full of school supplies. Knowing that those kids won't go to school without basics like pencils and notebooks made all her hard work worth it.

She was even able to send the 50 extra book bags to a school in Jamaica called Heirs Of Promise. Kyleigh's mission is to help as many kids as possible, and after this year's great turnout, she's motivated to keep the book bag giveaway going for years to come.
