Birthday Wish Come True! Wait Until You See How A Community Surprised A Boy After His Bike Was Stolen

His sweet reaction to a very special gift he got from the local police department will move you.

For little kids, birthdays are everything. They might even mean more than Christmas, since it's a day that's just meant for them - and there's usually cake!

Even though Bryan Jeffery was about to turn six years old last weekend, he was disappointed. The boy's bike was stolen when he parked it outside of a local department store, just days before his birthday.

The boy's family filed a police report when they found out the bike had been stolen, and a few days later security footage showed a man returning the bike to the same spot where it went missing.

Even though the bike was returned, the Conway Police Department linked up with several small businesses in the community to give Bryan a birthday party he would never forget.

Not only did the CPD surprise Bryan with a brand-new bicycle, but they planned a car parade, give him a Batman birthday cake – they even rented a bouncy house for the day.

"It was a whole lot of people coming together for Bryan," Detective Tim Gray said about the celebration. "I'm not going to say right a wrong, but to correct a wrong the best that we can. It's just good that the whole community of central Arkansas came together for this."

Bryan was moved to tears when he was presented with his new bike and helmet. The boy's mother, Carmen Jeffrey, helped plan the surprise and praised the officers for going above and beyond for her son.

"I am definitely in awe with law enforcement and the police department, especially Detective Gray," she said. "I appreciate everyone for their concern about my son, and I appreciate everyone for making his seventh birthday so special."

Detective Gray even joined the party and jumped in the bouncy house with Bryan.

Bryan's mother said the day was especially meaningful for her son who has dreams of becoming a first responder someday.

"When he was in pre-k, they asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up. He dressed up as a police officer, and he still wants to either be a police officer or a firefighter," Carmen said. "He just wants to help people."

As for Bryan, he couldn't have been happier with his birthday party.

"I wasn't expecting this," the new seven-year-old said. "I was very surprised."

What an incredible effort by the local police department to bring smiles to a young boy on his birthday. We're sure Bryan will never forget the kindness showed to him by his community!
